The Challenge

Naniobiotix is a French company developing physics-based radiosensitizers to treat cancer. When the team approached LSC, they had foundational branding and messaging, but the company was concerned that they sounded more “sci-fi” than serious biotech.

We set out to revamp their narrative, overhaul their website’s UI, and push their existing visuals into new and exciting territory.

The Solution

A UX and UI overhaul

A patient-centered narrative drives the experience of the website. The story highlights the limitations of current therapies for challenging cancers and introduces Nanobiotix’s NBTXR3 as a transformative advancement in radiation oncology.

Weaving clinical data with scientific rationale—including a video explaining NBTXR3’s unique mechanism of action—audiences gain a clear understanding of the technology’s promise.

The website’s new navigation was designed to help each audience (investors, KOLs, HCPs, and patients and caregivers) find the most relevant information. Weaving clinical data with scientific rationale, the approach positions Naniobotix as a forward-thinking company committed to improving outcomes for patients.

VISUALS

The holistic design aims to create connections between the company’s “expanding life” motto and its proven science. A homepage animation features stark, powerful patient imagery built into a sequential grid in a nod to the “atom by atom” play. Expansive type reinforces section headers with texture. Weaving these elements with intention instills a sense of movement across the entire site.

Translation

The LSC team worked with a translator to ensure that a French version of the website was accessible. This was a critical component of capturing the company’s “French roots, global outlook” mantra.

Results

Messaging was pulled through a corporate website, which received a Web Excellence Award.
